Trio SynThesis
Trio SynThesis is a dynamic family ensemble of violin, piano, and percussion, formed in 2015. Known for their genre-defying performances and bold interpretations, the trio blends classical training with fearless innovation. Winners of UCLA’s Call for New Works in both the Music of Armenia and World Jazz/Intercultural Improvisation categories, they bring a fresh and compelling voice to contemporary chamber music.
Recent highlights include their global debut at the Union of Architects in Yerevan, Armenia, and a featured performance in the Jewel City Concert Series in California. Percussionist Artashes Sinanyan, a composer and educator at East Los Angeles College, is known for inventing the custom “vibrodrums” and pioneering this unique percussion setup. Pianist Zhanna Sinanyan is celebrated for her expressive touch and collaborations across Europe and the U.S, as well as her own original compositions. Violinist and vocalist Ani Sinanyan has performed in a wide range of ensembles and venues, and is continuing to broaden her horizons across different genres.
